VOTER REGISTRATION

To register to vote in Georgia, you must meet the following criteria:

• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of the United States.
• Residency: You need to be a legal resident of Georgia and of the specific county where you intend to vote.
• Age: You can register if you are at least 17 1/2 years old, but you must be 18 years old to actually vote.

However, there are certain disqualifications for voter registration:

• Felony Conviction: If you are currently serving a sentence for a felony, you cannot register to vote.
• Mental Incompetence: Individuals who have been ruled mentally incompetent by a court are also ineligible for voter registration.
